2012 美国都市区犯罪率排名
美国的都市区 (metropolitan statiscal area) 是多个相邻城市的集合,大致相当于中国地级市的概念,都市区里的市 (city) 或镇 (town) 则大致相当于地级市里的区。当然美国总人口比中国少很多,分布也相对均匀,都市区一般不能跟地级市比人口。
笔者认为对于地区性的统计,用都市区比用市镇更合理。维基百科上列有美国本土381个都市区,但是笔者查阅政府网站后发现,其中少数已被取消或合并。另有几个网上很难找到数据,所以这里只列出366个。
本文数据主要来自 FBI 发布的2012美国犯罪报告,此报告中部分地区数据不完整,比如伊利诺伊和明尼苏达很多地区隐瞒了强奸的数据。对于 FBI 没有数据或数据不完整的地区,笔者查阅了 neighborhoodscout.com 或者该地区政府网站。
这里的犯罪率是每十万人中针对人身安全的暴力犯罪 (凶杀、强奸、抢劫、攻击等) 次数,不包括针对财产的犯罪 (偷窃等)。
安全指数是笔者自创的一个概念,其数值表示该地区比多少百分比的其他地区更安全。比如安全指数为一百分的罗根是犯罪率最低的地方,零分的孟菲斯是犯罪率最高的地方,而得分50.2的圣罗沙恰好处于中间。
